Pigeons
Pigeons are not migratory birds and generally stay near their birth place. Pigeons mate for life and if one dies the other will take a new mate. Their accumulation of feces can harbor histoplasmosis, a systemic fungus disease that affects the human respiratory
tract. The acidic droppings also corrode paint and deface buildings. The external parasites of pigeons include various species of mites, fleas, ticks,
and bugs, many of which will readily bite people.
The Rock Pigeon makes a flimsy nest, but it often reuses the location repeatedly, building a new nest on top of the first. Because the pigeons do not try to remove the feces of their nestlings, the nest turns into a sturdy, pot-like mound that gets larger month by month. Prevention:
We use a combination of different bird deterrents for different scenarios. Building owners report extra clean up costs and concern over slip and fall liability from swallow dropping buildup, plus an unclean, dirty company image. The bacteria, fungal agents and parasites found in swallow droppings and nests can carry hosts with serious diseases, including histoplasmosis, encephalitis, salmonella, meningitis, toxoplasmosis and more.
The most common crow in North America is the American Crow. They are social birds and usually have large families. Crows roost in large numbers in the Fall and Winter. Crows are also protective over their fledglings and may attempt to chase off potential predators (like you).
Seagulls are everywhere and anywhere food is. They can be found in large numbers around commercial and residential areas foraging through garbage and scavenging for food. They can be a problem to work and live with their constant noise, damage to property, creating a mass accumulation of feces and potential health risks.
The house sparrow is a small but stocky bird 5.5 to 6.5 inches in length. The male can be distinguished from all common native sparrows by its black throat and upper breast and ash gray crown as well as a chestnut colored cape extending from the eyes along the side and back of the neck. Sparrows as well as most birds are a beautiful form of nature. We are an environmentally caring company and it is our intention to not harm animals but to simply have them move on or be relocated.
